D. Craig Lindsey, MD
Founder

Craig Lindsey, MD is a distinguished medical professional with extensive expertise in emergency medicine, wound care, and hyperbaric medicine. With a robust educational background that includes an MD from Albany Medical College and board certification in emergency medicine, Dr. Lindsey has dedicated over two decades to advancing medical practice and education. He has earned the reputation as a visionary in medical practice, with a proven track record of innovation, education, and leadership.

Dr. Lindsey currently serves as the Medical Director at CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Wound and Hyperbaric Center where he has been instrumental in enhancing patient care and clinical outcomes. He applies his extensive experience and depth of knowledge of hyperbaric oxygen therapy to innovate successful treatment methods, including the reversal of long COVID symptoms. His leadership also extends to his role as Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of New Mexico Hospital, where he has significantly influenced the education and development of the next generation of physicians.

His career also encompasses significant research contributions, particularly in septic shock and microcirculation, from his work as a research scientist at UC Davis and Bayer AG. Dr. Lindsey’s dedication to excellence is reflected in his numerous honors, including membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society and corporate awards for scientific achievement.

Jackie Lindsey, M.A.
Founder

Jackie Lindsey, M.A., brings extensive expertise in operations, emergency medicine, public safety, emergency management, and health and safety to Hyperbaric Wellness. She currently serves as the Health and Safety Emergency Management Lead for Atlassian, a Fortune 500 tech company, where she oversees the health and safety of a globally distributed workforce of 13,000 employees.

Previously, Jackie concluded a distinguished 22-year firefighting career as the Fire Chief for Santa Fe County Fire Department in New Mexico. She has held additional high-profile roles over that time, including New Mexico Secretary of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and serving on the FEMA National Advisory Council.

Jackie’s tenure with the City of Albuquerque included 17-years with the Albuquerque Fire Department during which she led several specialty divisions including special operations, emergency management, fire investigations, the training division and educated both cadets and paramedics. She also led the Operations of the COVID response for the city during the first year of COVID-19 pandemic. She holds a Master of Security Studies with distinction from the Naval Postgraduate School Center for Homeland Defense and Security.

In addition to her professional achievements, Jackie is a two-time Canadian Olympic Softball player, a dedicated wife, the proud mother of a 16-year-old daughter, and two dogs (Lucy and Oakley).

Philip Schell
Hyperbaric Consultant

Growing up in Bloomington, Indiana, the home of Indiana University, Phil Schell sat at a breakfast table with three medical doctors, two nurses, an attorney, an architect, schoolteachers  and around 10 master’s degrees. He is a graduate of Culver Military Academy, where lessons in  leadership, organization, and discipline helped put  him in the Safety Coordinator of Hyperbaric Medicine seat for the past 20+ years. Phil has had the great fortune of learning from some of the best hyperbaric medicine and wound care professionals from coast to coast. He has spent countless hours as an inside attendant taking care of patients inside many hyperbaric chambers, including Bonnie & Clyde, two of the oldest chambers in the Mid-west, the Golf chamber at Duke and many more.

Phil is a current Certified Hyperbaric Technician through the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT) where he also earned the Diver Medic Certification through the NBDHMT.  He is an Instructor with The National Association of Underwater Instructors and a Divers Alert Network Professional – Emeritus. He has served on the Chapter boards as well as on the National Board of Directors of the Undersea Hyperbaric Medical Society Board of Directors. He currently serves on The Gulf Coast Chapter as President. He is also a Certified Hospital Emergency Coordinator (Homeland Security).

Phil is an annual speaker to the Community College-Respiratory Therapy students and has served on The Service Excellence Committee for a local hospital. He co-authored a published abstract, ‘HBO Chamber Pressure Gauge Correction for Altitude’ and has participated in The Flying After Diving study at Duke University, North Carolina.

Karen Tiegler, MBA

Operations Consultant

Karen Tiegler is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 15 years of dedicated leadership experience. Karen currently serves as the Practice Executive/Administrator for HealthFront, P.C., an independent, democratic emergency physician practice. Prior to executive leadership, Karen served HealthFront as Practice Administrator and as Office Manager, contributing to every part of the company’s success.

Karen earned her MBA from the Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico, where she developed a strong foundation in finance and strategic management. Throughout her career, she has been instrumental in navigating and stabilizing her organization during periods of significant corporate change, demonstrating a keen ability to implement effective governance structures and strategic initiatives.

Her expertise in human resources and benefits administration has enabled a supportive and productive work environment for the healthcare professionals under her leadership. Karen’s strategic planning skills have been pivotal in driving the practice’s growth and operational efficiency, while her financial acumen has enabled prudent budgeting and resource allocation.

Known for her strong leadership and commitment to excellence, Karen applies her experience and skills to create a sustainable business environment, allowing the healthcare providers to focus on delivering exceptional care.
